RG45 AWS A 5.2 CLASS RG45
RG45 is a Carbon Mild Steel for use as an oxy-acetylene welding alloy
where ease of finishing (grinding, sanding, machining, etc.) is more important
than higher mechanical properties. It is a Copper-coated wire, which does
not require the use of a flux. Deposits are dense and free from porosity.
Tensile strength: 52,400 psi (specs call for 45,000 psi minimum). Elongation
is 31%.
