Monster™ Cup Best Practices, Set-Up Tips, Do's & Don'ts!

  • The Monster™ Cup works best with Arc-Zone's high-quality gas lens collet bodies
  • The Monster™ Cup is designed for Argon flow rates between 15-30 CFH (cubic feet hour)
  • Do Not Exceed 175 amps for extended periods of time!
  • The Monster™ Cup is Not designed for welding with AC current!
  • Minimum tungsten stickout of 3/4" (19mm) -- Shorter stickout may result in damage to the screen stack
  • Use a medium or short back cap ONLY. (Long back caps are known to trap atmosphere in the top of the cap)
  • Do not adjust the positioning, or modify the Screen Stack in any way

Monster™ nozzles are designed for precision TIG welding applications where increased shield gas coverage and tungsten stickout are needed. They are not designed for heavy-industrial pipe welding applications.

Arc-Zone does not make any claims or guarantees of weld-quality improvements, or level of shield gas coverage. Results may vary, due to: weld station set-up, material preparation, gas quality, gas flow rates, flow meter type, gas hose material, welding machine, TIG torch, operator’s torch handling technique, etc.

Compatible with popular TIG torch models including: A125 (WP-9), W250 (WP-20), W280 (CS310) and CK 2 Series.

My order arrived before expected delivery date, excellent job! The Monster cup never fails to impress me. Best gas coverage, in my opinion, hands down.

This fit my torch perfectly! I used it on some silicon bronze welding for a home project and I weld outside. I had great argon coverage.

I'm a self taught hobby welder. I'm building a car and had lots of stainless, aluminum, and chromoly to weld. I struggled with gas coverage on my stainless and chromoly welds. They always came out gray and oxidized no matter what settings, speed, torch position, or filler rods I tried. I got this monster lens and the very first stainless weld came out perfect!! Beautiful purples, blues, and salmon colors. This lens is awesome!!!

Great product! We use this when welding tubing. It allows the welder to get into tight, deep places and get good electrode cleaning and clean looking welds.

Out of the "Monster series" nozzles the #14 is the most versatile one. The size is about perfect for almost all of my stainless welding I do. When welding stainless, the only reason I might switch to a different cup would possible be a outside corner joint where the shielding gas doesn't puddle at all. in that case I would run either the Monster #16 or #24. The screen stack has to be the best aspect of this cup. It creates such a great diffused gas flow that allows for exceedingly long stick out if necessary. With such a great screen stack I feel as though I don't need to have my argon flow as high as i would have thought i would need to, I run between 20-30CFH depending on the application.
