ER120S-1 AWS A 5.28 CLASS ER 120S-1
ER120S-1 is designed to weld a wide variety of low alloy high strength steels where high strength and ductility are critical.
ER120S-1 provides welds with high notch toughness, yield strength, and impact resistance.
ER120S-1 can be welded with interpass temperatures as low as 300°F while also offering high ductility to -75°F.
Typical applications include welding high yield low alloy steels such as T-1, HY-80, HY-100, found in pressure vessels, bridges, and in shipbuilding.
Tensile strength: 120,000 psi.
Yield strength: 110,000 psi.
Elongation is 15%.
Charpy V-notch @ -60°F is 60 ft. lbs.
