November always seems like a good month to focus on things we’re thankful for in the welding industry. So, because FABTECH is coming up soon (November 18-21, 2013 in Chicago, Illinois), we thought we’d start there!
We at Arc-Zone.com are thankful for FABTECH! Jim Watson (founder and CEO of Arc-Zone.com) has been going to FABTECH off and on for many years, first when he worked for Weldcraft, then in 1999 when he officially introduced Arc-Zone.com (founded in 1998) to the welding industry.
At FABTECH Jim is able to meet with manufacturers and get a first-hand look at new products that our welding customers may need.
FABTECH is the largest welding industry trade show for fabricators, welders, and metal workers of all kinds. It’s the place to meet welding equipment suppliers and see what they have to offer. Many manufacturers debut new welding products at the show as well so you can be up to date on all the latest offerings.
FABTECH is also a great place to learn. There are tons of panel discussions, and even workshops on everything from materials handling and cost estimating in the job shop to sustainable manufacturing and safety. Check out the complete roster of welding industry educational opportunities online.
Arc-Zone won’t have a booth, but if you see Jim Watson, aka Joe Welder, be sure to say hello. You’ll probably find him anywhere he can burn some metal!
