These electrodes can be used as a substitute for 2% thoriated in most applications. Ceriated electrodes are characterized by ease of starting, good arc stability, long life and high current capacity.

2% Ceriated Electrodes are cerium dioxide doped tungsten electrodes containing 1.8% to 2.2% CeO2. They are not radioactive. Color code: Orange.
