I’m always amazed to find welding wherever I go. Our industry has a presence just about everywhere, and I can’t help but be positive.

Just last month I took my family to the Del Mar National Horse Show, one of the premier horse show events in the country– and conveniently located 20 minutes from Arc-Zone’s So Cal headquarters.  While the horse show itself was pretty awesome, what really got me excited was the new roof they installed over the open air stadium.  Metal!  Read all about it and check out some pictures on JoeWelder.com.

A common thread among many women welders is that they were first introduced to welding by a man in their lives. Laura Knight is no exception. “I started welding copper water lines with a plumber and then married an air conditioning technician who welds steel, and I learned wire feed welding from him,” she says. WHAT WOULD JOE WELDER(tm) DO?

We got a call from a customer TIG welding high-end aerospace parts. He bought a complete setup from us a few years ago, a WP-20-25-Pro(tm) package by Arc-Zone with all the goods needed for his new TIG machine.

The reason for the call was that the customer has now specified out a TIG torch with vinyl plastic gas hoses. We were all a little perplexed. We generally recommend the rubber leads as opposed to vinyl. They are more flexible and easier to handle.
