I receently took delivery of a new lincoln V310T TIG. As for welding cast aluminum, this thing is great. I currently use 1.5% lanthanated tungsten and it lasts at least 5 times longer than it did in the miller syncrowave. The welds with this machine are absolutely fantastic. Stonger, better looking, no more sizzle, crackle, pop and not to mention easier than ever. I am still fine tuning the frequency, and its getting better and better by the day. Using a SS brush and ez wipes before welding cast doesnt seem to make a difference like it did before.
